teacher stuff
What was it you say
that you read and you heard
my words that now lay
on the ledge of the chalkboard?

There's white and pink to make you think
and yellow and green for lines in between
making my nose cringe from allergies.

Before the eraser made a mess
the board was full of teacher's jest.
The class was reading for comprehension
and now it's time for silent reflection.

Dare I sigh with a quiet tear
for my language has lost its meaning.
The empty space is now a blur
waiting to be filled with tomorrow's words.

Remember why we write these words
not to hide but to expose
the knowledge of truth.
