Written about holding my younger sister for the first time
Short brown hair that was once long
Inquisitive brown eyes that never stopped wondering
The tanned body
Wearing her favorite red sleeveless shirt and blue culottes
Holding her new baby sister
Sleeping so oundly
Even the t.v. could not wake her

The little six-year-old
With a smile full of holes
Watched her baby sleep
Then the baby opened her eyes
She looked up at her big sister
And let out a sigh
And let out a belch
The infant closed her eyes and went back to sleep
