A poem written while spending time in jail. It is for all the inmates.
They look at us as just numbers, they think we're all insane,
but nobodys walked in your shoes and I know you have a name.
We all travel different roads,so we all carry different loads. We do our best to handle our lives, but sometimes things just blind our eyes.
Some loads are heavier than others, some breath easy, some smother.
Trials and tribulations can cause alot of pain.
Endure and trust and you'll have everything to gain!
Talk to him everyday because he knows where you have been.
Ask for forgiveness and seek his help and he will free you from your sin.
So from me to you, I want to wish you the best.
Always pray and thank him before and after you rest.
While you are here, use your time well.
Trust the Lord and read the book as you sit in this tiny cell.
I hope you free yourself from any of your shame, yes, they took our freedom for awhile, but they can't take awat our name! n
