This is not the way it is supposed to be
Fairy tales, they lied to me.
Stories told for lonley hearts
to have some faith--til death do us part.
Open hearts are very inviting
Open minds, so enticing
Behind the tale, a different story,
a different ending
a different plot, rules bending.
Between the lines, something menacing.
Love belongs in the arms of another
that if that love were taken away,
that soul would plunder.
No logic,
No control,
No sense in it at all.
Too great to ponder, too pure to question why
You cannot lie, you cannot hide
