Couldn't sleep.
Insomnia

Darkness comes night after night
But it never ceases: and endless plight
Stillness, serenity, quiet and calm
Is one way to go is a proper plan

That doesn’t work, what else to try
Eyes clamped shut envision the sky
A second attempt leaves more to be found
Surely the opposite won’t help; things being loud?

Obviously not noise won’t help a bit
Admission for one into this sleepless pit
A realm that refuses to let you inside
So in this world it’s time you must bide

Nothing can help except times flow
Everyone goes through it the young and the old
It holds no judgement leaves out few
It has taken me it can reach you

No one is safe – its random attacks
You never expect that it will ever come back
A factor governed neither by race, sex or religion
But solely on you own minds position.
