Peer presure tears us away from ourselves, till we ask, who am i?
Look at me
I used to be black
I used to hide behind a mask
A maks of happiness and joy
Never showing what was deep inside
Then i looked into a mirror
Deep into my eyes
I saw something new
The need to stop my act
And let all my anger fly out
The mirror smashed
Blood wept
Tears dripped
Pain, hate and fear took over
I screamed
But no one heard
I screamed
But no one cared
I screamed my undying rage
Then suddenly
As soon as i had begun
I stopped
And placed the mask back over my face
Once again pretending to be the person
I'm not.
