Train of Fears

The track is aged and scarred,
marked with many bumps and breaks.
Cars beaten and marred,
with all he undertakes.

    -Rains fall often through the years;
    life a waste, it appears;
    riding on the train of fears-

His engine trudges forward,
but he is hastily flung toward-
another obstacle on the track,
with no time to turn back.

    -He chances to look up-
he sees laughter and love.
    -Blood spilling from a cup-
he finds his Saviour above.

    -Rains fall often through the years;
      loosens a sea a tears;
      riding on the train of fears-

In His arms, on the train of fears,
the trepidation disappears.
Tortuous paths - worry no more -
With the love of God, he will endure.
