One Winged Angel

In this whole wide world we walk,
Drones who rarely truly talk,
To each other or so it seems,
We live in our little world of dreams,

And yet some have found their truth,
Among the love they learn in youth,
Others it seems are scared to try,
To spread their wings and just fly,

How can one winged angels fly?
when will they know how?
How can one winged angels fly?
Hold on to each other and go....try

I have been through my dead ends,
With lovers, enemies, and with friends,
I have seen and been abused,
Hated, altered, and then used,

My wing is torn, my feathers gone
And yet I live my life by song
I've cried and wept within my soul
And yet, now...I've been made whole

How can one winged angels fly?
when will they know how?

I have felt it touch my mind,
My heart and soul's hurt left behind,
Even from so far away,
Completely healed since that day,

When my heart sped up it's pace,
When I felt it seem to race,
Just from one who would appear,
Then to listen and truly hear,

It crept slowly upon me,
And yet I think that now I see,
Something needed that was true,
My own one winged angel, you.
