A poem that expresses a different outlook on marriage and relationships.
Newly wed,
I am newly fed
into the confines of a jail
Oh hail, hail.

White as the day I was born,
this day I swore, I've sworn
my life to yours and yours to mine.
I have been condemned to a line-

-in sickness and in health,
in poorness and in wealth,
till death do us part-
to this I have given my heart.

This belief in a love that will never cease
but, oh, how you have lied my priests,
for this life, this love is corrupt,
it is short, it is abrupt,
a charcoal abyss
a void devoid of bliss.

Newly wed
I have been newly led
into the land of dead.
