My attempt at a French Sonnet. o.o
Oh to that treacherous night that consumes the soul,
Etched ever into the parapet round the heart,
Fie fie on you venomous and hated fool,
Hidden snake in the garden, play your horrid part!

Consume the mind, making failed attempts at a life,
Night that dares to speak the words of love unfulfilled,
While those around tear at the heart with anger rife,
False hope clung to only soon to be cruelly killed,

Protection now set in stone, change never to be
Keep hidden, what was released and then cast to hell,
Emptiness unknown that nothing will ever see
A new bitterness too fresh to ever be well,

Villian made content because of another's pain,
Watch the heart shrivel longing for release again.
