Never set a boundary that your heart can't follow through. It hurts worse in the end.
I'm not allowed to love you,
I'm not allowed to care,
I'm not allowed to shed a tear,
as my heart breaks and tears.

I'm not allowed to tell you,
I'm not allowed to say,
I'm not allowed to let you know,
of all the feelings I cannot convey.

I'm not allowed to see you,
I'm not allowed to pretend,
I'm not allowed to think of you,
as anything more than a friend.

I'm not allowed to talk to you,
in fear that I'll fall once more,
into that spell of blindness I get
from you, that I deplore.

I've set these boundaries for my heart,
that I cannot follow through.
See, I'm not allowed to love you at all,
but I really, truely do.
