A poem I wrote about getting hurt by what someone else did.
My life was great; everything was perfect ‘til you came
Now my world’s upside down, and you’re the one to blame
You came in and wrecked my almost perfect life
Your actions stabbed through my heart like a knife

You may think you did what’s right, you may not see what is wrong
Little do you know how hard it is becoming to say strong
Maybe I’m being a little dramatic, maybe it’s not a big deal
No one but me understands exactly how I feel

I thought everything was going to work out
But in my mind there is no doubt
The next year will be the toughest of my life
All it will bring is worry and strife.

I know I shouldn’t point fingers or blame
But it ever since you came things haven’t been the same
My life has become a less joyful, less pleasant
What you did has brought me nothing but torment

You took my hopes and dreams
And changed my laughter into screams
Now I can only hope,
That I can learn to cope
With all the turmoil you’ve brought me.

I just wish you could see….
How bad you are hurting me
