This is a poem about a personal struggle.
They will not ring the bell
They will not wipe their feet
After I remove the lock
The world will not be neat

I see the wave above me
Then the water swirls around
I try to look up through the green
Hollowness the only sound

The moat around my pain
Deepens with each rising sun
Loved ones become strangers
Until I want no one

I peer down on them all
From the tower high
How much is it worth
The balance reads a tie

Truth tells me it is all
My heart just will not hear
I show my back to everyone
Drowning in my fear
