This is a poem about how I felt when my brother died.
A single tear falls from her eye.
She's all alone, no one sees her cry.
No one understands her pain.
She's all alone and so afraid.
So many unseen and unshed tears.
She's all alone. It's been that way for years.

The darkness surrounds her heart.
She's all alone.
With no one to share her pain,
It tears her apart.

The death eats away at her soul.
She's all alone.
Her tears are her payment, her toll

Is there no end to my sadness?
She screams, but she's all alone.
No one hears her pleas.

She takes the road she's destined to follow.
Leading to the unknown.
Undoubtedly to pain.
The darkness is all around her.
It takes it's sweet time.
But she's waiting.
Waiting in agony for that pleasing swallow.
It consumers her.
She struggles, but to no avail.
She is numb.
The black surrounds her.
Streaked with the red of blood, Of obvious pain.
She longs for a helpful hint.
For some means of escape.
But she is all alone.
It's much too late.
