Ten thousand small moons cascade from great height,
the fragments erupting in prismical light.

Ten thousand small poppies, of scarlet hued coals.
'twixt row upon row of cold slates from seared souls.

Ten thousand wept tears and hearts cinched closed,
watering weeds of 'what might have beens', supposed.

Ten thousand prayers changing nothing at all,
but united we stand ~ as only the soldiers fall.

Ten thousand droplets of slick oil spills,
like liquid life, down the poppy laid hills.

Ten thousand small moons weep songs on the earth,
the fragments erupting in prismical birth.
