I'm including both versions of my poem on this page.
VERSION 1:

I ask one thing of you
It's something you should do
Anyway
Remember to breathe
Take it all in
Let it all out now
It's too much for me
Take in your surroundings
They won't be here for long
Believe what you see
Not what you hear
They're lying to you
With blades in their hands
You'll see the truth
Right before the end

VERSION 2:

I ask one thing of you
It should be done
Anyway
Remember to breathe
Bring everything in
Let it all out now
The greatest struggle is here
Life
It's too much for me
Hopefully not for you
Take in your surroundings
They won't be here lonmg
Believe what you see
Not what you hear
Reality
He lies to you
With blades in his hands
But he'll push you over the edge
You'll see the truth
Right before the end
