Recollections of a would-be mother.
Written on May 7, 2002 at the age of fourteen.

My dearest little Sammy
I hope you can forgive
Because my body let you down
You simply could not live.

My dearest little Sammy
I felt you in my womb
You moved around so full of life
Then shriveled in your tomb.

My dearest little Sammy
Why must you have died?
Don't you know the grief you caused?
You made your family cry.

My dearest little Sammy
With me you will stay
Perhaps not in the physical sense
But in my heart you shall lay.
