a short poem about a girl who has only her pride
With Her Head Held High

A girl down the street,
She walks with her pride.
She walks all alone.
With her head held high,

But if look in her face,
You’ll see she’s alone,
But still she walks on,
With her head held high.

It’s like she’s waiting,
For a friend to come,
Always waiting,
With her head held high.

If you look closely,
Shell watch at everyone,
As they ignore her,
With her head held high.

She’ll never give up,
She’ll always be out there,
Walking alone,
Waiting for someone,
With her head held high.
