A poem concerning the view of childhood from the eyes of a child
little mouths
little toes
little ears
and a little nose
a little head
to hold big ole schemes
a little bed
to hold nite time dreams
little songs
for little clappers
little sunlight
to greet little nappers
little shirts
and little shoes
a little kiss
for a little bruise
little fingers
grip little spoons
little toys
clutter little rooms
little thoughts
gently led
to little excitments
waiting ahead
little laughs
and little tears
a little teady
to fight great big fears
little arms
little socks
little bows
to hold curly locks
little cheeks
to drip little cries
a crimson sunset
for little eyes
little steps
before little falls
little memories
framed on family walls
little smiles
little prays
little wonders
for bigger days
little gurgles
little bottles
little bumps
and little waddles
great big hopes
in a little hand
little feet
walking on forever sands
