I wrote this poem during school one day. Johnny Cash is huge inspiration to me.
Still the Man In Black
By Jon Nelson

There is a sound I love to hear.
It soothes my soul, falling on my ear.
The steady rythm of "boom-chica-boom,"
I crank it loud to fill the room.

"Because you're mine, I walk the line."
To hear that beat, I feel just fine.
When Luther Perkins rips up that tune
Or the angel voice of the Carter, June

An outlaw, a rebel, and a father too.
You get it all in "A Boy Named Sue."
The songs of love burn my desire.
Just like the words to "Ring of Fire."

So I sing these songs, I play them loud.
With respect and honor, to make J.R. proud.
Never forget the man with no color on his back.
Johnny Cash is still the Man in Black!

Thank you Mr. Cash
