A troubled life hangs in the balance
A Troubled Mind

To many things to think about
To worry about outside that door
If she stayed in her dark empty world
The sunlight would be no more

She knew she had to run away
Let go of her fear and pain
She knew but still was so scared
The pain would never go away

She drew the blinds to oblivion
To sleep in her bottomless pit
She dreamed as she screamed and cried
One day she wouldn't be so sick

The heartache following her lovers death
Was all too much to bear
She now thought of her dark sanctuary
As her final resting lair

Now as she lays down to sleep
To rest her troubled head
She hopes and wonders while she shivers
If tonight she would wind up dead

Outside that door was sunlight
Another beautiful day
Out there she would have to face reality
Something she could never fake
