A painful reflection from the corridors...
“See you on Monday”,
Gloomily she said,
Arms waving over her head,
“See you on Monday”.

Slowly, she faded into
the shadows. The crowd,
defiant and proud,
swallowed and drained all hue.

Glad I was at the same
time, a stain of regret.
That day I’ll never forget
As I recall her name...
