This is a poem i wrote about my sister growing up
She was born into riches,
Bred for aristocracy
A life she knew would bring
A dismal uncertainty
She was raised to uphold
The highest of expectations
The life she dreamed
could never be
Up for negotiation
Always forced to
attend what seemed
Like pointless mediation
All the private schools and endless rules
A tidal wave that left her soaked
The girl fed from a silver spoon
Spit it out, and nearly choked
She loved the laughter
The sense of reality after
A dramatic episode
That shook nothing but the rafters
Her head in the sky
I can't live this lie
I hate this life
I lost my sense of pride
Only now I realize
It's set it stone this time
I knew the day I cryed
That I would always try
To live the life thats mine
