hanging on is about a relationship where the guy used to be sweet.
Hanging on!
I’m hanging on in the freezing cold
Funny thing is there’s nothing left to hold
All the things in my heart
Are starting to fall apart
I miss the little stuff
But now you only huff and puff
You are always mad
And I’m tired of trying to act glad
I know you don’t mean to hurt me
You even sometimes try to fill me with glee
I’m hanging in there tight
Trying not to start a fight
You used to be a sweet freak
That would kiss me on the cheek
What happened to those good times we had?
They’ve all gone bad
I seriously want to try
But every time I do I breakdown and cry
I want to wish the best for you
Because there’s nothing left for me to do
