When you open and old photo album, every little wrinkle, and smile has a story to tell.
“A City Soaked With Memories”

Where mornings are shades of rose and melon
and water shows sprinkle mist on your face.
Where strips of desert roam the outskirts
and ongoing traffic slows down your pace.

Where rainbow colored roosters wake up the birds in the palm trees
and tangy smells of lemon caress your nose.
Where lost, amazed tourists widen their eyes
and boyfriends propose with a single red rose.

Where buildings rise up and touch the horizon
and mountains jot up like acne on Earth.
Where ribbons of color paint the sky
and unexplainable excitement is all but dearth.

Where family reunion is the theme of the day
and Uncle Jose cooks the very best breakfasts.
Where aunts laugh and dogs bark
and multiple cousins are restless.

Where thousands of spectators walk all over The Strip
and silver statues and buildings catch your eye.
Where you eat juicy steak smothered in steak sauce
and watch shiny, luxurious cars pass by.

Where ice cold lemonade quenches your tongue-dry thirst
and darkness falls as you begin to thrive.
Where your fun and adventurous sides start to kick in
and your shy, normal appearances begin to hide.

Oh yes, I’ll remember the moods of Sin City
my family, the love, and the things that I learned.
The memories, the hopes, and the wondering thoughts
of living again, and of hopeful returns.
