A poem about my struggle with understanding religion
You're the only truth I hold
At the end of the day
Everything else glitters and glows
But it all eventually fades away
It's so easy to feel uninspired
By that still small voice
I don't always hear the whisper
Through the deafening noise
Take this veil from my eyes
I want to see the light
I know my vision will be blurred
The truth can burn so bright
I'd rather be singed by the truth
Than cradled by these lies
I'd rather be eternally blind
Than see with deceived eyes
Take my hand, for I am weak
Please help me when I fall
And when it's hard for me to stand
Give me the strength to crawl
