The pulse of a heartbeat found on her ankle,
He knew her inside and out,
Every crack running astray on her skin,
The pulse of a heartbeat found on her ankle,
The warmth flowing of blood running
In every vein spread like cobwebs on her body,
The savory taste of her sweat during lovemaking,
Her particular odor, pungent mixture of spice.
With blend of earthiness and something subtle,
The very essence of her being…

He knew of her love as he knew breathing,
It was ingrained deep, deep inside him,
She made him stand out among mankind,
Supporting him, pulling him up pushing him up,
She weaves his destiny with every word she sang,
Her desire tied him to her more than handcuffs…

She knew him inside and out,
Every little indentation on his body,
From the one above his right hip,
To the one in his left incisor’s gum,
The coldness of his nervous hands,
Whenever tension slowed his heartbeat,
The salty taste of his skin during lovemaking,
His particular brand, sensuality of musk,
Flavored with a pinch of salty wood,
The very essence of him…

She knew of his love as she knew breathing,
It was ingrained deep, deep inside her,
He made her feel above all women,
Holding her, lifting her, pushing her up,
He weaves her destiny with every breath he takes,
His desire holds her fast, binding her to him…
