a poem about a broken soul
Standing on the edge I stare down at my final resting place,
Thoughts whirl around my head
The thought that they soon will end brings a smile to my face.
I cast my eyes to the sky
“Where were you as my body, mind and soul lay broken on the floor.
Why couldn’t you stop the millions of tears I’ve shed??”
Weakened legs finally give
My sanity stretched far past it’s limit,
Staring into the sun, arms stretched out
“save me. Rip me from my hell and take me home, I beg you”
exhaustion sweeps over me
the presence of her arms around me; finally noticed.
Green eyes meet blue and I break.
My savior, my angel
Consciousness fades, lying in her arms; finally, peace
