This poem is about my grandmother.E
Mandy Lou passed away
leaving behind
her husband
Richard
iittle Elizabeth
and newborn
Mary Boone

Oh, dear Mandy Lou
what in the world
are we to do?

Richard was heartbroken
Mandy was his first
true love
with auburn hair
cornflower blue
colored eyes
he thought she hung the moon

Oh, dear Mandy Lou
what in the world
are we to do?

The March wind was blowing
when they laid her to rest
in a little Church cemetery
near a redbud tree
that would soon be in bloom
