hmm..wrote this a long time ago, and it seemed like a good one to start with...
On the edge of the world, looking down.
A lonely place I hate to stay in.
As hard as I try, there is no escape.
Fear is pointless.
Only acceptance, then the sudden plunge.
Life flashing before my eyes, I manage to hold on
For one last sweet second.
My last taste.
I savor it, hold it close, try to taste it again.
But this time it is gone.
Life always tasted so bitter,
But now I see that bitterness was only the sweetness
I could never discover.
It dips and shakes
Unwilling to stand still
As I swallow the final sip
And let go.
