Bad Dream

the light begins to fade

as i sit here and wait

i can't help but think of you

whether you'll show or not

i think of the times we used to share

we haven't spoken in so long

i wounder what you will say

i start to cry

my heart aches for the love we used to have

why did it have to end

i close my eyes and see your face

the face that i used to admire

and now all i see is hate

hate for me and everything i do

you have someone new but you need to know

i ask myself is this right

my heart races as you pull up and get out

we look at eachother and you take my hand

you tell me you love me and that it's ok now

we lay down in the wet grass

you hold me tight

i close my eyes and thank god that you're here at last

but then i hear something

i open my eyes to find him telling me that he loves me

but it's not you

at that time i realize i love him

and no longer love you

it was all just a bad dream
