A poem about how "hurt" physically attacks the heart (like a predator).
as a savage beast
tears out the heart of its prey
hurting is ripping and tearing
at the delicate flesh
of the vulnerable heart

acid blood corrodes
the heavy heart
after its exposition

welcome numbness
stays behind
after salty eyes have become
a staring dead part
of the once living heart
