A poem about our human nature, and the metaphoric ways in which we sometimes are lost.

I disappear into the earth,
while reaching for ethereal sky.
I dream in a color I eternally fear,
screaming in a pitch that only I hear.
Where is this worn place in me of which I speak?
Filth covered and barren inside,
it's warmth still I seek.
Painted with the wings of the fly, this stench of death....
Each breath a willingness to die.
Weak, fragile, crumbling lie, rape these hands of reasons why....
A suffering angel bleeds herself dry,
all in the name of a coveted cry.
Tempt me into such Ethereal savagery
clipping invisible dreams from the light of my broken wings.
