The neighbors of an abused girl ignore her plight...
All my life you've lived next door
and late at night you hear the sounds
but you don't say a word.

You heard as my mother tore
into my flesh, flinging fists and words, "D*** you, child!" resounds.
All my life you've lived next door

to the house where father's fists settle the score.
Pain and fear abounds
but you don't dare say a word.

You listen as I am broken and sore
and you saw the pain and scars I bore
because all my life you've lived next door.

The abuse slices into me like a sword
upon this bleeding, fighting ground
but you never say a word

to anyone who could save me, for
I cannot speak, I cannot make a sound.
All my life you've lived next door
but you never say a word.
