A poem written from my experiences studying Heaven and life.
Under The Fig Tree

Amidst forests green with life
flowers color the landscapes
with silent designs of praise
for nourishing light,
rich fertile soil, and
weather plentiful with rain-
Reminders of the innocence
we had as children
when we trusted
the good of life.
Harvest nears, and always
new questions arise.

We know God watches over us.
Life is ageless
in this timeless universe,
change ever present
ever moving.
Our soul's intricacies,
our pains, our sorrows
cry to us of new lessons
we must learn.
And so with zeal
we kindle our live's fire
with faith.

Home from work,
bath, change clothes.
We talk of the day
as i sit at the desk
at peace with life
and write new poems
to share heaven's insights
with those who love life.
Not letting myself feel
the exhausting pains
a hard day's work
could bring.

And sometimes
open the bible
searching for answers
Christ left for us.
Remembering God is teacher;
remembering He forgives
I His student.
Forgives my mistakes,
forgives my ignorance
while I learn to live
with honesty this way.

What I see, what I hear
I take time to understand;
defining good as good,
defining evil as evil;
practicing the kindness
I learned from Heaven's Father
while here, under the fig tree
eating of Heaven's manna,
drinking the wine of life,
mapping the inheritance
He gave when He formed me
In my mother's womb.
