moving on is so difficult
You tell yourself you need to move on
You tell yourself this doesn’t make sense
You were fine before he turned your world upside down
You don’t understand how you feel a part of you is missing because he doesn’t want the same things as you-so he says
You think he’s in denial
You tell yourself you can’t wait
But you still feel attached to him
You know he hurt you
But you believe it wasn’t intentional
You wonder if that's because loving someone makes you blind
Or if that’s really the case you see how he shows he cares
You tell yourself to move on
But you still can’t
Somedays you feel like you made progress
Other days you feel like your back right where you started
You cry for an hour one night because you can no longer fight the tears
You wish you could get over him just like that
But you know it’s not that easy
You know he is the first one you really truly fell for
You know that makes it more difficult
All you can do is hope for the day you can say I’m over him
But know you know the day won’t be here soon
