The Warrior, The Maiden
and a Golden Glove

Dreamers and Poets, come sit by me.
Muses and lovers, listen to what I read.
A story of truth, and of unending love.
A story of strength, and of a golden glove.

The glove of a warrior, who fought and died.
The story of a maiden, who questioned why.
And the story of a dream, the maiden dreamt.
Of reuniting with her lover, and dreams of regret.

Under the willow tree in her dreams, they were drawn.
A pledge of reuniting, to take place at dawn.
Within his glove he hid a poison, the maiden consumed.
To join her dead lover, she died around noon.

Nothing will stand in the way of hearts that love.
Not even death or the goddess from heavens above.
When a man and a woman share one heart and soul.
There love will continue, when in each others arms they hold.
