Comparing the past with the present
I look at them through the smoke of my cigarette
She is with another
It had been me once
Now he has taken my place

I remember the crooked smiles she has given me
There is a way about her I love
That has all ended, though.
Now we don't talk at all

She doesn't look back any longer
I guess for her no questions remain
What was done can't be undone
Now it's time for me to move on
