It’s always Louisiana summer.
I remember you by the color red.
Discarded French Quarter memories.
A smile remembers things you said.

Nose sparking scent of Cayenne pepper,
Cajun spirit and love nostalgia for me.
A smile remembers things you said,
Discarded French Quarter memories.

I remember you by a red throat ribbon,
and dances under the moon, blood-red.
Discarded French Quarter memories,
a smile remembers things you said.

I found your forgotten red vinyl shoe,
other memories my mind can still see,
a smile remembers things you said.
