small travel collection
A collection of poems written while traveling in France and Belgium

lost

ghost is lost
in a labyrinth

ghost is lost
underground on the Metro

ghost is lost
between boulevards

ghost is lost

foreigner
intruder
tourist
lost
in
Paris

ghost is lost

invisible
haunting the avenues
and arcades
and museums

the city is old
but so is ghost

and we are all lost here

L` Ecluse (wine bar in Paris)

red Bordeaux sipped from a glass
white baguette broken
compliments Roquefort Blue

Paris

not quite winter, not yet spring
city boulevards
awash with tourists and rain

Paris Metro

rabbit`s warren underground
seek, travel, disperse
to metropolis above

Coupil Le Fol, Brussels

in a little bar
in Brussels
time stands still

- there are a lot of clocks on the walls
but none of them work -

we listen to Edith Piaf
sipping fruity-sour berrywine

time stands still

portraits and paintings and posters
crowd each other on the dark walls

- this used to be a brothel
and if these walls could talk -

time stands still
in Coupil Le Fol
