Things inspired by what I see in people.
Wanting peace
But do I get it? Not in the least
A burning desire
That hides inside of me, a victorious fire
What is the point?
Where will everything come to a joint?

Endings are near
But in the end so are their fears
Inside of me felt
That there was nothing left as I began to melt
A decision made
As their hearts begin to slightly fade

Hurting me
I see their wishes and what they seem to be
Knowing their fate
Their entire lives becoming the ‘as of late's’
Shattered dreams
And so many distant screams

Reaching out
Hoping they will accept the love in my shout
Trying to keep
My own soul is taking a giant leap
What’s the gain?
Why make myself feel their forlorn pain?

Why cry their tears?
Only blurring my vision for all these years
Doesn’t add up
But it does help me seem strong and tough
But inside
There is nothing but a child about to cry

Reaching deep
I want to know what exactly I’m going to reap
Powerful love
Yet it seems like I have to always shove
Why not accept?
Wondering if anyone I reach out to benefits

Always these thoughts
Awaiting the day when I’ll see all of those who fought
Wanting peace
But do I get it? Not in the least
