A poem for the appetite
I wish all my poems
Could fit in a jar
So if I wanted to taste one
I wouldn't reach far

Just beneath the lid
Stacked to the top
I'd grab the first one
And I just wouldn't stop

Then after I devoured
The very last one
I'd bake a fresh batch
And just for fun

I'd put them in a jar
With a great big lid
And save them until bedtime
Like I should've did
