Scary Ms. Rosemary

(a tarantula)

Somewhere
under a rock
in a dark corner
is a
creepy
crawly
bristly
hissing
killer.
It waits
and listens
for
the slightest
movement.
Ravenous
coiling
ready to
pounce
and squeeze
life
out of
a randomly
mobile
organism.
Still,
I like her
all the same.
Under the glass
blurred by smudges
waits Ms. Rosemary.
My Rosie.
