A thought about Alzheimer's...
Dancing Nowhere


Locked inside a changing mind
While others search for the key.
Tremendous effort spent to find
A way to set them free.


Day by day, sweet memories go
Till there is nothing left but breath.
Their own children they do not know,
Unrecognized unto their death.


When at the end their memory
Fails to find a breath of air,
God turns the key and sets them free
From a life of dancing nowhere.
