Its about where my eyes should be focused. It's unfinished, so bits are out of order
i sit, waiting.
Wondering? Of course
but it's not ready, i hide my eyes,
stare through my tears at the ground
i can't look
my life is not based upon it
it's nothing to be mesmerised by.
i can push past this,
deny this desire for a season.
i've got bigger plans, bigger dreams
he's got them: Jesus
you are the one i should be looking at,
falling in love with,
not some foolish daydream.
i yearn to be wrapped up in your world.
Take this pain out of my hands,
let me give it over to you,
take it i don't no what to do with it
i can't plan i can't dream without you being my inspiration Jesus
it's u, it's all for u
what you have done and will do in me no one else can
you have plans and a purpose for me
my cry is to be more than this,
Jesus i want more than mediocracy.
pull me out of this pit of dead emotions, draw me closer,
love me that's all i need
your love that covers any sin
Your love that nailed you to that cross.
let my eyes glimpse your holiness
Jesus.

i feel your touch and hear your gentle whisper: "Beautiful"
I now know your tenderness, your gentleness
stills a beating heart.

Shame on me for allowing my flesh to crave more than You.
For my thoughts being distracted.
