Some thoughts someone would have walking down the street.
Whispering behind me are the endless beings

chaotically rushing their lives away.

When shall they become one with themselves?

How hard it is for them to realize this moment,

is simply all we have.

My intensity drifts into the eyes of another.

It appears as though they are sensing exactly

what I am thinking.

He gives me a look of peaceful serenity,

something I have seen only rarely.

Constantly people running around trying to find

their lives.

Rushing to be happy, rushing to be successful,

when all along it was within themselves the

entire time.

I notice a young girl frantically licking an ice

cream cone before the sun steals it away from

her.

A puppy stands beneath joyfully licking the drops

of vanilla from the ground.

How I wish we could all find such joy in things

that to many don't matter at all.

A whirl of wind carries a swift green leaf,

scraping my cheek as it passes.

I think to myself, how strange, considering it's

the middle of winter.

The tiny ambers of pink have been glistening

through the fire sky all afternoon.

I gasp as they turn into deep oranges and reds.

I walk calmly anticipating the sunset I'm in for.

I finally arrive to the hill I love to daydream

on only to find three others like myself in awe

of life within the small things.

I let out a very soft, peaceful sigh.

I knew everything would be alright.
