A dream replayed
Running and running nowhere to go.
I’m at a where baseballs are thrown.
Bleachers sit high dugouts nearby,
Still nowhere to hide.
I feel eyes, cold blue ice.
Stare deep into my soul.
I get a glimpse, he darts away
But he can still see me. I don’t know what to do.
What to say. This horrible game he likes to play.
This horrible game he likes to play.
But fear settles near. In panic I run,
His eyes leer. I feel him closing
Behind with his dagger eyes.
He grabs my wrist with a jerk and a shake.
I’ll never know what happens because then I awake.
