A poem I wrote for an English assignment about walls.
When it is you look at me
Tell me what it is you see
A person who can wander free
And walk on evermore

But now look deep into my eyes
And you'll be stunned or hypnotized
You'll see the tears my soul has cried
Because she's locked away

Her lovely downy wings are torn
She's always worn that look of scorn
She wishes she were never born
Since she's been criticized

I hope that I've made clear to you
Why sometimes I can be so blue
Or even black
Why I attack
Is all because of her
