About someone who is everything to me yet nothing to me at the same time.
In the midst of my confusion
I am awaiting disallusion.
Driving down the road of discretion
Miles past the exit marked confession.
Well, I never said I was innocent
You chose to ignore my discontent.

I spent all day thinking
'Bout how my soul has been sinking.
Feared that I had forgotten
How to climb up from the bottom.
Are you here to remind me,
Or only to confine me?

You could've been my soul mate.
But our paths crossed to late
Perhaps with this perception
It won't feel like a deception.
Don't care that you would not die for me
And I know I've let you lie to me.

Before I met you, alone was just fine.
Now that just feels like wasted time
Can't figure out what I'm feeling
No answers on this hotel ceiling.
I always knew we couldn't last
Just no idea it'd go so fast.
