And then there was three

Earth

This is a story to be heard by all,
about the bounty of our Mother Earth.
Starting with an ancient native legend,
showing both her beauty and her real worth.

American Indians say she's free,
no one can own the mother of us all.
She bares savage scars upon rugged lands,
from driest deserts to her mountains tall.

Our very roots are held fast by her,
life sustained with a soft and gentle grip.
We have given her little peace for sure,
and so carelessly have we let her slip.

She is the only home we'll ever know ;
the only one from which our roots will grow.
